Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

½ cup Lowcountry Creamery buttermilk

8 tablespoons cold salted butter

1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract

6 tablespoons white granulated sugar

½ cup packed light brown sugar

2 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Add the cold butter to a large mixing bowl and beat until creamy.

3. Next, add the vanilla and buttermilk and mix.

4. Add the white and brown sugar, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt and mix well. It will be crumbly at first but will come together.

6. Scoop out onto a cookie sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes or until the cookies are a light golden brown. (I used a medium-sized cookie scoop).
